Principal Investigator
Mr. Aguilar received his Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology (with concentration in archaeology) from the University of California, San Diego in 2001. In addition, he completed his Master's degree in Anthropology (with emphasis in human osteology and paleopathology) at San Diego State University in 2010, where he received the Outstanding Graduate Student award. Mr. Aguilar specializes in human skeletal remains, burial practices, and archaeoastronomy; he also possesses more than 20 years of archaeological field experience in Southern California. He has also spent eight field seasons in Oaxaca, México, conducting skeletal and paleopathological analyses, archaeological surveys, excavations, and paleoenvironmental studies.
